Shipping and damaged goods
Packages are normally shipped within 2 working days after having the payment has been received. The external courier services to whom we entrust the packages offer a package tracking service. Bottles purchased on the Podere La Pace Shop are enclosed in cases that are optimal for the transportation of liquids.
It is of utmost importance to verify that the packaging is intact upon its delivery, and to “sign conditionally” in case visible damage or should the package look like it has been ripped or opened in any way. Subsequently, an e-mail should be sent to gianluca@poderelapace.com specifying the type of damage to the parcel and which (if any) bottles have been damaged as a result, and providing pictures for documentation. The Podere La Pace staff will make sure to resend the damaged bottles at no additional cost.
La Pace is not responsible for the shipment of replacements with regards to non-conditionally signed waybills should a delivery issue among those aforementioned occur.
Shipping costs
Shipping is free to all Italian destinations for purchases totaling at least €60!

Packaging
We use polystyrene bottle holders for the shipment of single cases. Polystyrene bottle holders are an excellent wine packaging option, as they offer maximum protection for any type of bottle. They also protect bottles from excessive thermal changes, keeping the temperature constant and thus avoiding any alterations to the wine and oil’s flavor and fragrance. For this reason, they can also be reused to protect liquids from sharp thermal swings.
For the shipment of multiple cases we instead use elegant cardboard boxes that have been designed and tested to prevent potential cracking and damage from collisions. These boxes employ a system of foldable tabs that enable the simple and safe packaging of all our bottles. They are then tightly wrapped together and laid on small platforms or pallets (depending on order size) which protect them and facilitate their delivery.
