The Story
1934
Internationally renowned architect and designer Gino Maggioni, grandfather of Simone, settles with his family in the Ligurian countryside near Imperia, where he founds the La Pace concept.
1936
Gino takes inspiration from the ancient and symbolic olive tree to draw the first La Pace logo, which later becomes an emblem of renewal and creation.
2006
Silvano Maggioni and Marianita Valdinoci, Simone's parents, discover the land plot on which Podere La Pace is located. Simone Maggioni extends a tradition of entrepreneurship by founding Podere La Pace in Tuscany the following year.
2011
The vineyard is planted and construction works for the winery begin. 2013 marks the first vintage.
2014
The labels go through a first artistic makeover: the landscape facing the farm is captured on canvas by Flemish painter Françoise Palsterman and the resulting painting is placed on them.
2020
Monica, Simone’s sister, designs the new labels and the official La Pace font.
2022
Inauguration of the tasting room, a true “living room” honoring the values of art and togetherness in the spirit of the Maggioni family.
Our wines honor our history
Prima Viola: so called in honor of Tommaso Valdinoci, Simone’s grandfather and formerly the first viola at the La Scala Theater in Milan.
Nina: dedicated to Simone’s life partner and source of inspiration.
Pittoresco: owes its name to the temperament of the sculptor and painter Marianita Valdinoci, Simone’s mother.
Silvano: a tribute to Simone’s charismatic father.
