Despite a hot and droughty summer, the 2017 vintage concluded in a maturation ideal for our Viognier. Fresh tangy notes immediately characterize the wine and are elevated by the vanilla fragrances gleaned throughout the ten months spent aging in oak barrels.
The full-bodied mouthfeel is complemented by a minerality and freshness, which sustain the sip. The result is indeed a pleasurable and refreshing wine, which embodies the typical features of the Tuscan Maremma territory.
This wine is an excellent accompaniment to Mediterranean seafood delicacies and soft cheeses but can also make for a standout aperitif.
